As you know it, Brasserie Cantillon is victim of its success and unfortunately can not follow the current request. To let benefit as many people as possible, we allow only one bottle of this product by order. Thanks for your understanding.

The traditional lambic is a spontaneous fermentation beer, which we can not fully control the process. From a brew to another, many factors are influencing the final result. These differences are naturally unavoidable and are by definition a characteristic of Gueuze, Kriek or traditional raspberries. To limit these differences, a blend of different lambics is done, in order to provide a harmonious taste beer all over the season.

Cuvée Lou Pepe are exceptional at all levels! Lou Pepe Kriek is done with the blend of 2 years old lambics. This is an exception since other Cantillon products are developed with 3 years old lambics. This lambics generally matured in casks of wine. 300g of cherries per liter is added in July, and again a new exception as other products of the Cantillon Brewery are developed on the basis of 200g of fruit per liter.

Macerated cherries will then operate for six weeks in Bordeaux casks, to emphasize the vinous touch of the final product.

The third exception appears when bottling, because of the sweet liqueur added to operate the bottle fermentation, and the apparition of CO². A new exception as a young lambic is usually used for this operation. Again, this choice was made to make the Cuvée Lou Pepe softer and to provide a intenser fruity taste.

The Lambic coming from the same brewing season, bottles are vintages.

In the end, we obtain a vinous product and much more fruity than the classic Kriek or the Rosé de Gambrinus by example.

This very original name came from the South of France, a precious place for the Van Roy family, where the grandfather is nicknamed the "Lou Pepe". Back in Belgium, and in the presence of his grandchildrens, the Brew Master becomes the Lou Pepe from the North .
